These Terms and Conditions are established in the interest of the safety and welfare of our clients and their dogs.

General Terms

Payment for services implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment.

If a deposit is paid to secure a spot in a group class or workshop, the remaining balance is due on the first day of the event. This payment may be in cash or by bank transfer.

Clients preferring to pay in cash must inform Bugzy’s Dogs at the time of booking, a non refundable deposit will be taken to secure the booking.

Safety & Responsibility

Bugzy’s Dogs shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons, dogs, or property during training sessions.

All dogs must be kept under control and on a lead unless instructed otherwise by the trainer.

Trainers provide guidance and support, but the owner remains fully responsible for their dog’s behaviour and welfare at all times.

Puppies may only attend group classes after completing their primary vaccinations.

Please ensure your dog has toileted before the session.

Training Philosophy

Our training methods are kind, ethical, and based on modern scientific principles.

Training requires time and consistency. Practicing between sessions is essential for achieving the best results.

Welfare and Handling Policy

At Bugzy’s Dogs, the wellbeing of every dog is our highest priority. We promote kind, reward-based training that builds trust, confidence, and connection. If you ever feel unsure about how to deal with a situation, please ask.

Harsh handling, and intimidation will not be tolerated under any circumstances, this includes:

·       Physical punishment or force

·       Shouting, threatening gestures, or verbal abuse

If such behaviour occurs during a session, we reserve the right to pause or terminate the session immediately. We may also refuse future bookings if we feel the dog’s welfare is at risk.

Classes & Workshops

Each participant will have a designated working area. Please remain in this area unless instructed otherwise.

Maintain a safe distance from other dogs and handlers.

Dogs of mixed ages may be present in classes and workshops.

If your dog is unwell or in season, you are welcome to attend without them to observe and continue training at home.

Refunds are not available for missed classes.

One-to-One Training

For packages of three one-to-one sessions, we recommend spacing sessions approximately two weeks apart. This allows time to practise the exercises, reflect on progress, and prepare for the next session.

We understand that life happens, and longer gaps may occasionally be needed due to holidays, illness, or work commitments. However, our experience shows that consistent training leads to the best results. Extended breaks can make it harder for both you and your dog to maintain progress and build on previous learning.

All sessions within a 3 session training package must be taken within a 8 week period from the date of the first session. This helps maintain consistency and ensures you and your dog get the most from the programme.

If you're finding it difficult to schedule your sessions, whether due to work, family commitments, or unexpected changes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs and find a time that works for you.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a training session. Failure to give the required notice will result in full payment being due, or that session being forfeited, if part of  a pre paid package.

Bugzy’s Dogs reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 3 days’ notice.

There may be occasions when Bugzy’s Dogs may need to cancel or reschedule a session at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, emergency, or adverse weather conditions. If this happens:

·       We will contact you as soon as possible

·       We will offer to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time

·       If rescheduling isn’t possible, any pre-paid fees will be refunded or credited

·       We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

Sessions may be cancelled immediately if deemed unsafe to continue.

Children at Sessions

Children are welcome to attend classes and training sessions under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Parents must ensure children understand the importance of listening to instructions and not approaching other dogs.

Cancellations & Refunds

Sessions cancelled due to extreme weather will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

Refunds are not provided for missed classes, unless due to exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of Bugzy’s Dogs.
