Foundation Puppy and Dog Training Classes
Are you interested in bringing your puppy or dog to our group classes? Here’s all the info!
Who is this class for?
The class is for puppies and dogs that need to learn foundation skills.
What dogs can attend?
The class is for young puppies once they are fully vaccinated, and older puppies, and older dogs.
Will I need an assessment session?
An assessment session is required if your dog is older than 6 months and we have not met before.
Are the classes the same?
The content will be the same but some exercises may be adapted to suit individual dogs in each group.
Where are the classes held?
Classes are held at the Wickham Hall, Sussex Road, West Wickham, BR4 0JX. You will see our flag outside.
How will I find you?
You can use What 3 Words ///item.cubs.lodge to locate the hall.
How long is the course?
The course runs for 6 weeks, one session per week.
What are the dates?
Sessions are on Thursdays; July 17th, 24th, 31st, and August 7th, 14th, 21st.
What time are the classes?
There are two classes available, one at 6pm and one at 7.15pm.
How much does it cost?
The course costs £150 for all sessions.
Can I pay in instalments?
You can pay using services such as PayPal Pay, Clearpay, or Klarna.
What is the hall like?
It’s a large hall, with air conditioning for the hot summer months, and heating in the cold winter months.
Is there anywhere to park nearby?
West Wickham High Street Car Park is behind the shops opposite Sussex Road, payment is by RingGo.
How many puppies or dogs are in a class?
There will be a maximum of 5 puppies and dogs in a class
What will we learn in the class?
You will learn foundation level skills including: recall, loose lead walking, polite greetings (not jumping up), leave, sit and stay, play, doorway manners, and preparation for vet and grooming visits.
What training methods do you use?
We train using reward based methods, we use food, toys, verbal praise, and touch as rewards.
Who is this class NOT for?
Classes are not for you if you have a dog that is reactive towards other dogs or people, if you are not sure then contact us. If classes are not suitable then we can offer one-to-one training.
